The 52-year-old rapper Birdman’s recent interview with the Big Facts podcast has garnered a lot of media and fan attention lately, especially for his remarks regarding his relationship with Lil Wayne.

One of the hosts questioned Birdman, “If you could take back one thing in your career, what would it be?” He immediately responded, “my situation with Wayne,” bringing up their earlier argument a few years prior regarding purportedly underpaid music royalties.

I believed that I had changed both his and his mother’s lives.The father of two told Big Facts, “I was confused, but at the same time, that’s one situation that I wish never happened.” Birdman continued by saying that he feels fortunate to have moved on from the incident and that he now speaks to “his son,” the rapper dubbed “Lollipop,” daily.

During the interview, Birdman revealed that on New Year’s Eve, when things weren’t going well between him and Lil Wayne, he went over to his friend’s house in an attempt to patch things up.

Two years ago on New Year’s Eve, I went to his house and said, ‘Let’s put this garbage behind us.’” How much [cash] are you looking for?

Wayne then allegedly demanded $30 million from Birdman. He even went one beyond, according to Birdman, giving him a whooping $50 million in an attempt to settle the long-standing feud between the two close friends.

The rapper of “Still Fly” said in the same interview that he was eager to distribute the wealth when he originally signed a contract with Universal. It seems that he gifted $300–500 million to each of Drake, Nicki Minaj, and Lil Wayne to help them prepare for the future.
