Novak Djokovic recently had time to look back at the 2023 season, the Serbian tennis player was completely satisfied with reaping 3 more major titles, reaching the historic mark of 24 Grand Slams.

The 36-year-old tennis player confided: “I like to win. There is no doubt about that. I am inspired and motivated by records. I try to be honest with myself and with others, I say figure out what your goal is. It’s as simple as that.”

Since 2005, when Djokovic was just 18 years old, this is the first time the Serbian player has not played Nadal or Federer during the season.

They are three “rivals” who have many relationships, support each other and develop together, and were teammates at the Laver Cup, but Djokovic does not feel “in harmony” with his two colleagues.

“Personally, I really want to but we don’t really get along and we’re not friends. We’re rivals, so a close relationship can make confrontations difficult.” But we’ve been rivals for many years. I think we all have great respect for each other, at least on my part,” Djokovic told Jon Wertheim on the “60th minute” show.

This is not the first time Nole has talked about not being “friends” with Nadal or Federer, but when asked, the Swiss tennis player always has respect for Nole.

Federer recently expressed: “I’m really happy and lucky to be able to face them (Djokovic, Nadal) nearly 40 to 50 matches for each player. There are so many memories from so many matches and developments.” I’ve answered questions about them many times and I can only say the best things about them.”

The Swiss tennis player hopes Nadal will play well in the 2024 season: “I hope that Rafa can come back very strongly next year. I hope Novak can continue to play as long as possible.”
