New posthumous track “Lace It” by Juice WRLD featuring Eminem and Benny Blanco was released on Saturday.

The song delves into the struggles of addiction, with both Juice WRLD and Eminem offering their perspectives. Juice raps about the pressures that lead him to medication, comparing the numbing effect to a near-fatal injury.

Eminem’s verse details the physical and mental toll of addiction, describing the downward spiral and constant pain.

This release is particularly poignant as Juice WRLD, whose legal name was Jarad Anthony Higgins, passed away in 2019 at the age of 21 due to an accidental drug overdose.

Last year, Eminem himself shared his experiences battling prescription drug addiction and a near-fatal overdose in 2007.

“Lace It” is part of Juice WRLD’s upcoming third and final album, “The Party Never Ends.” While specific details are still forthcoming, Lil Bibby, the founder of Juice WRLD’s record label Grade A Productions, emphasized his desire for the album to be a celebration of the artist’s life.

Bibby expressed his hope for fans and those who knew Juice WRLD to come together in celebrating his memory. He acknowledged the unwavering support from fans while humorously mentioning the occasional death threat. Despite the challenges, Bibby’s message is one of love and appreciation for Juice WRLD’s legacy, signing off with “We miss you, We love you 999 til the world ends.”
