Singer Mariah Carey’s upcoming memoir has reportedly caused some pre-release jitters for her ex-boyfriend, rapper Eminem (real name Marshall Mathers). According to sources, Eminem is worried the book may reveal intimate details about their brief and tumultuous relationship.

Carey, 50, recently announced her memoir, promising a tell-all journey through her life’s “ups and downs, triumphs and traumas.” While the details of their connection remain disputed, Eminem claims they dated for six months in 2001. Carey, however, maintains they only had a few professional encounters.

Despite the differing accounts, the pair has a well-documented history of public feuding through their music. Eminem referenced Carey in two songs on his 2002 album, with lyrics hinting at a desire for a relationship. Carey is suspected to have responded with her 2009 hit “Obsessed,” which seemingly addressed Eminem’s fixation.

Sources close to Eminem suggest he anticipates a less-than-flattering portrayal in the memoir. “Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey,” an insider revealed. “They had a very toxic relationship… He knows she’s going to say negative things.” The source further claims Eminem fears details about their personal life, particularly their sex life, might be exposed.

“Marshall is stressed out that Mariah is going to say things like he was bad in bed or a selfish lover, because he’s always been insecure about that,” the source added.

With the release of Carey’s memoir on the horizon, it remains to be seen if she will delve into their relationship. Regardless, Eminem seems braced for a potential public relations blow.
