Eminem has joked he will stop recording his ‘diss track’ about Ben Johnson after it emerged that the Detroit Lions offensive coordinator has decided to stay with the team. It led some to ask whether the Lions would lose some of their gifted staff members and players after exceeding expectations. Ben Johnson, the Lions’ offensive coordinator, was scheduled to meet both Seattle and Washington as the two teams currently have head coach vacancies to fill.

But he is set to stay put with the Lions after their impressive run to the NFC Championship Game, informing the Seahawks and Commanders that he’s staying in Detroit, according to NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero.

Naturally, Eminem – a huge Detroit fan and native – was delighted to hear Johnson would be staying with the NFL franchise for the foreseeable future and reached out on social media.

“Guess I should stop recording this diss track..!! Lol!! @ Ben Johnson Thank you for staying!!!” Eminem tweeted on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“We can’t break this team up ESPECIALLY since I’M on it!!! Coach Campbell we love you bro!!! Let’s run it back next year!!…I’m READY!!!! I promise you I WILL get us to the super bowl!!!”
