Alexis made his debut on Serena’s Instagram in September 2016, and just a few months later, they were engaged at the very table in Rome where they had first encountered each other. Their journey to parenthood began shortly after, with Serena discovering her pregnancy just a month after their engagement. While welcoming their daughter Olympia in September 2017 was a joyous occasion, it came with unexpected complications. Serena underwent an emergency C-section due to a drop in her heart rate. Following a seemingly smooth delivery, she experienced difficulty breathing, later discovered to be caused by small blood clots in her lungs. This resulted in an extended hospital stay for surgery and recovery before she could finally return home with her newborn baby.
