Federer and Nadal meet again for the first time since the 2022 Laver Cup, the last tournament in the Swiss legend’s career. In the photo shared by “Express Train”, besides the two tennis legends, there are also Tony Godsick, Federer’s representative, and Carlos Costa, Nadal’s representative.

Federer officially retired at Laver Cup 2022. As for Nadal, 2024 will be the year he returns to the court after a prolonged injury that caused him to miss almost the entire last season.

At the recent ATP 250 Brisbane International, Nadal suffered another injury and was forced to withdraw from the ongoing 2024 Australian Open. Fans hope to soon see the “King of Clay” return to the court and according to the latest rumors, Nadal will return to compete at the ATP 250 tournament in Doha.

Federer was welcomed by Nadal at the Spaniard’s Academy. The two tennis legends toured the facilities and shared about the sport that made them great.

Nadal also shared with his old and long-time opponent about his health condition and the next plans the Spanish tennis player is working towards. Some people are curious whether the “King of Clay” will involve the Swiss tennis player in some of his new projects in the future.

On his personal Instagram page, Nadal posted several photos of the reunion between him and Federer, along with the caption: “It’s a pleasure to have you here with me today, my friend. Thank you for stopping by and I hope we will see each other again soon.”
