California love is clearly evident in Dr Dre‘s jaw-dropping collection of real estate — which is fit for the king of Death Row Records.

The rapper and record producer, whose given name is Andre Young, has been a staple in the music industry for more than 30 years. He made his debut with the “Deep Cover” smash hit in 1992.

Dr. Dre has since built a successful solo rap career, introduced his own label, launched the career of rappers Eminem and Snoop Dogg, and co-created Beats Electronics. He’s also built a massive real estate portfolio on America’s West Coast along the way.

The Grammy winner listed one of his Californian homes in Pacific Palisades for $2.65m (AU$3.83m) in December, and it already has a pending offer. He bought the four-bedroom home in 2019 for $2.25m.

Built in 1997, the 290 sqm home is located in the gated Summit Club neighbourhood. The house has been “impeccably updated,” according to the listing, and boasts a spacious kitchen with custom cabinets, high-end appliances, and a centre island.

The living room has a gas fireplace and built-in cabinets. A primary bedroom is located upstairs, along with three more bedrooms. The ceiling is vaulted, and wide-plank oak flooring runs throughout the home.

Overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the 2-acre property comes with plenty of space for outdoor entertaining. The sale includes membership to the Summit Club, which has a pool, sport court, tennis, and gym.

Calabasas crib

The rapper also recently found a buyer for his six-bedroom mansion in Calabasas, California. He bought the 872 sqm estate four years ago for $4.9m and listed it last month for $6.1m. It was sold for the full price.

Incredible Aussie house designed to look like a ship

Built in 1997, the home is located in the gated community of Mountain View Estates. Dr. Dre recently updated the home, investing more than $1m to transform it into “a show place,” according to the listing.

Luxury finishes include wide-plank light oak flooring, a media room, a whole-house sound system, and a salon.

A primary bedroom comes with two walk-in wardrobes and a wraparound balcony.

Outside, the private lot has a pool, spa, outdoor kitchen with a pizza oven, a basketball court, and an eight-car garage.

Malibu beach pad

The musician’s Malibu beach estate still remains on the market for a whopping $20m.

The contemporary mansion sits directly on Carbon Beach and was built in 1993. It offers 821 sqm of living space.

The three-level home features an open floor plan. A primary suite is on the top floor and comes with a fireplace, sitting room, and oceanfront views.

The spa bathroom features an oversized tub and sauna.

The Compton native purchased the Pacific Coast Highway home in 1998 for $4.09m.

In 2011, it was listed for $11m and made available for rent.

The home has since been on and off the market, with various price increases, with it last being relisted in November.
